If the new government is really serious about dismantling impediments to major construction projects, horse racing could follow the same rapid downward path as greyhound racing. It always amazes me that a huge site like Kempton Park in one of the busiest, best-connected and most successful (ie expensive) regions of the country can sit idle for 355 days a year.
